Kitten anyone??

Riley and I have a cat that we mainly have around to catch rodents (I know, I know that sounds bad!) We do pet it and its a very pretty cat, but that is its main purpose. We didn't get it as a pet. Well, now we are just loaded well joy because we have 5 kittens!! I say that with sarcasm, but I have really caught myself liking them a little. I have been taking pictures of them and wanting to play with them a lot. HOWEVER, I do not want FIVE kittens EVER!!! haha. They are the prettiest little kittens though with pretty blue eyes!! If anyone is interested...just let me know! :)

Roll Tide!!

I am so glad when this time of year rolls around each year. The weather gets cooler, the leaves changes into beautiful colors and of course we can't leave out Alabama football!! Each home game we set up a tailgate even if we aren't planning on going to the game. It is so nice to get everyone together and we always have lots of food to eat and good company! This is something that one day I hope my children will also enjoy doing as well (given that I hope that they too are Alabama fans!)

Congratulations Becca & Zach!!

Friday, Riley and I took off work and headed to Dahlonega GA, for Becca and Zach's wedding. It was such a great weekend! Dahlonega is such a cute little town. ( I love places like that!) They got married in a small Catholic church right in town and then the reception was at a beautiful vineyard about 5-10 minutes away. She was such a beautiful bride. I had a wonderful time and I am glad I was able to be a part of it! I feel like the Phillips family has become part of my family the past few months because I have spent so much time with them with the two weddings! I am really going to miss them! It is so funny to me how two of my best friends from college (Kimberly and Becca) ended up marrying guys (brothers at that) from my hometown. What a small world! Congratulations again Becs & Zach we wish you the best!

Cyndee's bachelorette weekend

Labor day weekend I headed down to Destin for my friend Cyndee Grey's bachelorette/lingerie party. Kimberly and I were the hostesses of this one. Luckily we dodged Gustav and had a great weekend! Cyndee had a "tiki" theme for her party. I love the themes, I think they are so cute!

Becca's bachelorette

I am a little behind on my post but I have been quite busy for the past three weekends. I will try to catch up. The weekend of August 22, we went down to Gulf Shores for Becca's bachelorette weekend. We had a great time even though Fay was there. We didn't get to play on the beach, but we did get to relax and have some great girl time together! Each of us have had a "theme" for our parties and Becca's was a Mexican theme the second night. That might explain some of the pictures!

A little here and there...

Right before we got married we started just doing a little bit to the house here and there. Buying furniture, painting (inside and out) and making it look more like home. It takes a lot and sometimes its just frustrating because I want it all done right now, but I know one day it will all be done the way I like. This weekend we added a little more because we finally picked up our wine console and ottoman that we bought for one of the rooms. And we are looking for bedroom furniture, but we haven't really found any we absolutely love yet.

Friday Fun

This past Friday night Riley and I were so tired so we decided to stay in and make something at home. When we do this we usually make a good pizza with all our favorite toppings or grill but I had bought some ciabatta bread at Publix so we decided to make a really good, creative sandwich. (We really watch TOO much food network!) Well we had a lot of fun doing it and the sandwich was huge because of all the stuff we put on it...and also very, very tasty!!

Before we put it in the oven...It is HUGE! (Yes that is my
Mature husband giving it bunny ears!)

Riley looking very excited to make the first cut! :)
