4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with Rileys family. We were in Fairhope for a long weekend. We spent some time at the Grand Hotel pool and Riley and I drove over to Gulf Shores for a little while on Friday to see our friends, Mandy and Wade and their triplets. The girls loved the beach! We also got to see 2 big firework shows...one on Friday at the Grand Hotel and one Saturday by the bay. I didnt feel that great...but it was still a great weekend.

We are having a baby!!

Riley and I are excited to annouce that we having a baby!! We are so excited about this chapter in our lives. I am 7 weeks and due February 13th. We went for our 1st Ultrasound today and everything looked great. Riley kept saying..."so that means that its just one in there right?" haha. I think my Dad scared him a little bit about twins running in our family! Keep us in your prayers!

Weekend with Friends

This weekend was great because I got to visit with my friends. We dont get to all hang out much since they live in different parts of Atlanta and Birmingham. We all got together and laid out by the pool on Saturday. Then, Saturday night we headed to dinner at Chucks. Sunday Cyndee and I hosted Kimberlys baby shower at the University Club. It was so nice to see some friends we hadnt seen in a while. Kimberly got lots of things she needed at the shower, which was great!

Girl Time

Mom and I went to Fairhope this week for a little girl time and relaxation. We went shopping and to eat and the rest of the time we simply relaxed! I am so glad we were able to go together. It was a wonderful trip...I wouldn't have complained if it had been a little cooler outside however! Oh well I guess I might as well get used to it..its only June!

Happy Birthday & Father's Day!!

Today is a really special day for my Dad...not only is it Father's Day, its his birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy and Happy Father's Day! I love you!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Wow does a year go by so fast!! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us as we spend many, many more years together! I love you Riley and Happy Anniversary!!

Wow...its really been 2 months!

I admit it...I have been a slacker! I have been reading everyone else's blogs but just haven't foung the time or energy to update my own. All the teachers out there know that the end of the school year is as busy if not busier than the beginning of the school year. Here are a few things that have been going on in my life the past two months...

* Closing out the school year! uugh...hate it every year!
* I decided to move from 1st grade to Kindergarten ( I know many of you think that isnt much of a jump but 1st grade is stressfull and I am very excited about teaching Kindergarten!) Afterall the one person that made me want to be a teacher was my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Clements. By the way...I have enjoyed reading about her in your blogs!
*Going to the beach for a few weekends...we went to Fairhope and then Riley luckily had a conference in Destin right before Memorial weekend so we went down for that and I headed down with a teacher friend and a couple of girls to orange beach the day school let out!!
* Our one year is approaching...cant believe its been a year!
*planning one of my best friend, Kimberly's baby shower at the end of the month
*we bought a boat for the lake this summer...its older but its fun and it runs! haha

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell....Becca and Mom I promise I will do better and I will post pictures soon! :)
