Just a few bedding ideas

I have looked at a few websites for bedding. I am looking now because I am very indecisive so I know it will take me forever to decide! But...I have noticed a pattern in most all of these!

12 weeks

Just from guessing...everyone seems to think it is a girl. I dont know though. All the signs or should I say old wives tales point to girl. I did the Chinese calendar and the wedding ring and they both said girl. I might do the Drano test this week. But, I guess I will just have to wait a little while longer to know for sure.

Books

Since I am teaching Kindergarten this year, I wanted some of the "1st day of Kindergarten" books. So, I made a trip to Barnes and Noble. I know when I go in that store I can never just get what I am going for. There is one thing I know for sure...Boy or Girl, my baby will have tons of books! I love childrens books (good thing huh since I teach kids to read!) I have a ton already because most of the books in my classroom were bought with my money...but there is always more that I want for MY baby! The one I bought this trip was Guess How Much I Love You. I love this book and cant wait to read it to my baby!
I also picked up a prenatal yoga dvd. I love yoga and have did a few of the prenatal ones On Demand...but they arent very long or that great. I tried it out and it was great! Not only does it prepare you more for labor, it really relaxes you!!

Dr. Appointment (11 wks)

I went to the doctor today and they didnt do much at all. I was scheduled to have a pap smear done because before I got pregnant, I had several irregular ones and he wanted to check that. But, when I got there he said he decided to wait a couple more months on that. So, we ended up just hearing the heartbeat, which I always love hearing! The heartrate was in the 160s about the same as last time. He asked about my sickness and I told him I was still having it, it was just unpredictable and I thought the vitamins made it worse. So, he suggested that I keep taking the Flintstones with iron (what I had taken while I was in Ireland to cut down on sickness). Although, I do get sick even on the Flintstones...its just not as often and doesnt seem to be as bad. I am hoping that maybe my sickness will stop in a few weeks but I am not getting my hopes up, I know a lot of people continue to be sick for a little while. I had gained about 1/2 a pound since the last month. I was a little disappointed because at the last appointment he told me not the next..but the next we could determine the sex (meaning the end of Aug) but this time he said we would wait until Sept. uugh!

Other than that there hasnt been much going on. I dont have any cravings, however I have found that Italian food sets with me really well. I dont like chicken (which for some reason I started disliking it before I was pregnant, but now I cant stand to eat it!) I really havent been hungry as much as I thought I would be...I do try to eat small portions (a lot of fruit!) throughout the day.

I will post a belly pic soon...but for now here is the babys gifts from Ireland (since he or she traveled with us!)

Home Sweet Home

We had a very long day of traveling yesterday but we are home. We flew for 10 hours and then another 3 hours to drive home not to mention the time zone we in was a 6 hour difference so needless to say we were very tired and ready to be in bed!!! We did have a wonderful time in Ireland though. The weather there is just amazing compared to here right now! It was 65 everyday and although it did rain just a bit everyday it was unlike here...it would be a short rain and then the rest of the day was great! I did feel great during the trip as well, thank the Lord!! I felt bad on the way to the airport before flying over there and then I felt bad one other day while there...but it was our longest driving day and the day before was pretty busy. But I was thankful to be able to enjoy the trip.
We saw so much while we were there and of course wished we could have stayed longer...but as always, it was great to be back in America too! Riley said at one point...he was ready to hear some southern draw again! We saw lots of castles and cathedrals and visited many historical landmarks and a few pubs on the way! We loved staying in the B&Bs too...it was a great way to meet all kinds of people. One morning you are eating with someone from Kansas and the next morning someone from Belgium!
Ireland is really just like you see in the movies (to me anyway)...people of all ages riding down the little streets on their bicycles, very friendly people, old Irish men sitting at the pubs drinking their Guiness during all hours of the day and beautiful landscape everywhere you turn. I will have to say I enjoyed the countryside of Ireland much much better than say Dublin. I was not a big fan of Dublin (well especially after seeing the other parts of the country!) I will be posting more about the trip and pictures soon...but for now I have lots of laundry to catch up on!

Headed to Ireland

For our 1st anniversary, Riley and I got each other a trip to Ireland. However when we got this trip...I was not pregnant! haha... We leave Wednesday. The one thing I am really nervous about is driving! We have a car rented (because I heard thats the best way to see the country) and Riley will be doing most of the driving but 1.) Driving on the wrong side of the road with a manual car 2.) Not knowing where in the heck we are going! 3.) My nausea and small curvy roads just doesnt seem like they are going to mesh well!! But other than that we are really excited! We will be traveling everyday to another county and staying in a different Bed and Breakfast. I just pray that I feel better than I have been feeling so I can enjoy it! My doctor did prescribe me some meds for my nausea this week so maybe it will work! I will not be taking the laptop there but I will post about everything when I get back.
