13 months (March 4)

Here is what Anna Riley is up to at 13 months old:

*Not for sure about her weight and height...I'm sure its still pretty close to last month
*She still wears size 4 diaper and 18 month clothes.
*She still is a good eater but not as good as she once was.  She is too busy and doesn't want to sit still to eat.
*She has a cup of milk after every meal.
*Eating out is definitely a challenge now.  Especially now that she can walk, she wants to get down out of the highchair and check things out!

*Speaking of walking...she is all over the place now!
*Loves the water! I can't wait until its warm enough to get in.  We were in Fairhope this weekend and we walked out on the beach and she took off to the water and cried because she couldn't get in! 
*Her favorite treats are ice cream and the Reece's miniatures. 
*"Talks" all the time but not in English!  She does say Dada, Daddy, Mama, uh-oh, good girl, dog (buts its more like dah), nasty (I said it referring to her diaper and she started saying it), she tries to say teeth and fish.  She is close to saying a lot of other words but hasn't gotten it yet.
*She loves making the "t" sound!  If you say any words that start with "t" she says that sound.

*She really likes stuffed animals.
*She LOVES her babydoll.  She carries her around all day and holds her to her chest and pats her back! Its so cute!  She also does this with her bunny and other stuffed animals.
*She loves books!  We read a lot of books throughout the day!  We are now reading 6 or 7 before bed...she likes to add to the list!

*Loves being outside and with the weather like it has been, I do too!
*She is definitely a people watcher!  She observes everything and everyone and will look at someone until they talk to her!  (Makes for a long grocery shopping trip because everyone stops and talks to her!)
*She is obsessed with dogs!  She gets SO excited when one is around! 

*When Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on, she shuts us out!  She is glued to the tv when "her show"  is on!  That's why we only watch a couple of episodes a day because she literally wouldn't move all day if I left it on!
*She gives the best kisses and is starting to hug now.
*We are in the process of taking the pacy away.  We took it completely away for almost 2 whole days/nights.  Then she had a meltdown.   But she is getting her one year molars in and her teeth have been hurting her a lot and she is getting over a cold also so we gave in and let her have it at night until they come in and she is feeling better.  I hate to take that away when she hurts so bad.  My goal in the beginning was to have it taken away completely by 15 months.  But since she was doing so good we thought we would take it away now.  We are also traveling twice this month so hopefully we will have better luck in a few weeks.
*Her hair is finally growing and it is getting so curly in the back.
*She went to her first Mardi Gras parade this weekend and loved it!

Miscellany Monday

 

WALKING:

I officially have a walker now!  Anna Riley has been "walking" for a while but just never would turn loose until now.  And boy is she all over the place and in to EVERYTHING!

BIG GIRL:

I really feel like my baby is not really a baby anymore.  There are times I look at her and realize how fast she is growing up and how big she is getting...especially when I see pictures like the one below! 

PACY:

We are in the process of taking Anna Riley's pacy away.  For several weeks now we have only given it to her during nap or bedtime.  Yesterday, I took it away from her during her naps and she did great...didn't even cry when going to sleep.  We were going to take it away from bedtime too since she did good earlier but Riley put her down and he forgot and gave it to her so we will try again tonight.  It's going much better than I thought it would though!

CHURCH NURSERY:

I have mentioned before that Anna Riley has not done well in the nursery at church since she changed classes.  Well, we finally made some progress today.  She clung to Riley and wouldn't let go but when we came back to get her she was actually playing and so happy!  Usually she is just sitting in Mrs. Jean's lap the whole time because she is upset. 

GREAT BOOK:

 Riley and  I just recently read a great book:  Heaven is for Real.  It is wonderful!! I read it in a little over a day! 

WEEKEND:

We had a great weekend with nothing planned!  Sometimes those end up being the best!!  We stayed in both nights and just enjoyed playing with our sweet girl and spent Saturday enjoying the weather... going to the park and getting ice cream.  We ran some errands yesterday after church and then our normal pizza night at Papa Dougs.  Below are a few pictures from the weekend...

Anna Riley wants to tell everyone...

SHE'S GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!!

Once again, when I came up with a plan...God showed me his plan was better!!  We are so very excited and can't wait for October!  I am almost 8 weeks so its still early so please say a prayer for us and little Baby Hollyhand #2!!

We actually found out the day before Anna Riley's birthday!  I had noticed that week that I was beyond tired and had a loss of appetite.  I thought that it might just be because I was so busy with the party but I had a feeling it was more than that!  And I was right! :)

  I had my first ultrasound last week and everything looks great.  The heartbeat was 136 and it measured about 1 cm.  My due date is October 13th.   I have been feeling about like last time...sick!  I have had lots of headaches and feel nausous all throughout the day. I have my appetite back but I am very picky because most things make me sick to even think about it!  I know its all worth it though.  With AR, I felt sick through the whole pregnancy but it did get better so hopefully it will again! 

Fun at the park

We have had the best weather the past week so Thursday we met Peyton, Lily Grace and Cooper to play at the park and go to lunch.  The kids had so much fun playing together! I think AR found her a "boyfriend"...her and Cooper were holding hands at lunch...it was too sweet! I wish I would have gotten a picture.

Swim date

Anna Riley and I had a swim play date last Tuesday.  Tuscaloosa Moms reserved the indoor pool at Bobby Miller Activity center and we decided to go.  Anna Riley loves the water so I knew she would be ready.  She loves putting her face under!  Which is good and bad!!  I am glad she loves it so much but I have to keep my eyes on her for sure because she is fearless! 
I didn't take my camera since I was in the pool with her the whole time but I got a few pictures before we left.

Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a great "day of love."  I personally think Valentines day is silly but we did enjoy a date night on Friday and of course loving on our sweet girl! It is amazing to think she was just a tiny thing last year...just over a week old and to think how much she has grown!!

Anna Riley got a few Vday surprises:  Minnie Mouse pjs, a new book, Mickey Mouse lollipop and a bag of Reece's minis (her favorite)!
