7 months old (September 4)

Anna Riley is now 7 months old! Her little personality shows through more and more each month and I just love it! I can't believe our little baby is inching her way toward being a toddler...so bittersweet! Here is what AR is doing at 7 months:
*According to our scales, Anna Riley weighs about 20 lbs.

*She wears a size 3 diaper. In clothes she can wear 6 month in some things but mainly 9 and 12 month (especially pants)

*She eats a 6 oz. bottle 3-4 times a day (we are still trying to drop a feeding and we have the past couple of days) and she eats 3 meals a day.

*Anna Riley has tried so many foods that I probably cant remember them all and has liked them all! The only thing she has made a face at was vanilla yogurt...but she still ate it! We really have been giving her a lot of table food now and she does really well with it. I never really pureed her food very much in the beginning anyways so she does well with chunky food.

*Gets way excited and sometimes mad when she sees her food or bottle. She wants it right then!!

*Speaking of chunky food, she is obsessed with watching people chew their food! She thinks it is so funny when we chew and then we exaggerate it and she will imitate us!

*She loves to feed herself or attempt anyway.

*She loves the puffs and yogurt melts and can usually get those in her mouth by herself.

*She takes a morning and afternoon nap. Her morning nap is about 1 1/2 long and her afternoon nap is between 2-3 hours. Sometimes she takes a very short late afternoon nap but we have been trying to just move bedtime up a little because a nap doesnt always happen and she is usually whiny.

*She is such a morning baby! She is so happy when she wakes up in the morning and as the day goes on, even with good naps, she is whiny in the late afternoon.

*Right now she goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 and wakes up around 8 each morning.

*Has been fake crying a lot and I think she might have a little of an attitude...dont know where this comes from?? :)

*She is a water baby! She rolled over in the bathtub the other day and her face went under for a second and it didnt even phase her...she just kept on playing!

*She talks a lot and makes lots of new sounds! We have sworn she said hey before but I am pretty sure it was just one of her squeals but it did sound just like it! haha. She is also such a squealer.

*She waves but only when she wants to!

*She clapped for the first time tonight! I am sure this will be like waving...she wont do it but when she wants to for a while!

*She loves to spit!

*She laughs a lot, especially if your laughing.

*She sat up from laying down all by herself tonight!

*She is belly crawling right now. This week she started getting up on her hands and knees and she tries to go but she just cant make it happen. She is so close though!

\
*She really, really hates to be rocked which is really, really sad for Mama! She will only let me rock her when she is very tired. If you try, she will arch her back, try to climb up you and squirm around and then you can lay her down and she goes right to sleep! Its ok when we are here and we have her crib to lay her down in, but if we are somewhere else, its not so much fun!

*Loves bedtimes stories

*Has 2 bottom teeth

*If she ever lays in the bed with us, she has to be touching both of us. She will rub Riley's face and play with my hair and she looks back and forth and both of us! Its the sweetest thing!

***New post below***

First "boo-boo"

We went to Fairhope for the weekend (more on that later) and Anna Riley came home with a black eye! Saturday while her Daddy and the other guys were playing golf, I was getting Anna Riley and myself ready to go to the beach for a little while and I had put her on the floor and she was fussy so, like I had many times, I put her on the bed with a toy and ran in the bathroom to grab something (I mean 2 seconds here) and she crawled off! The bed in Fairhope is higher than ours at home and it is hardfloors, not carpet so makes it a little worse. It scared me to death!! Luckily I was with two experienced Moms that assured me she was ok and that it had happened to them. I know it wont be her first bump but I did feel horrible! She cried for about 15 minutes on and off and we just kept and eye on her and she was back to smiling and playing later on. It never swelled or anything and didn't look as bad as what I thought it was going to. Needless to say, I will not be leaving her on any beds anymore!

All smiles about an hour after it happened
