More Fall Fun...

This post is a little out of order but we have had lots of fun fall!
Last Monday, Tuscaloosa Academy, a private school down the street from us was having their annual Punkin' Knights so we walked down with the girls in the wagon.  Anna Riley could have stayed all night but Ava Kate just wanted to get down and crawl and so she was a little fussy.

Sunday night when we got home from Fairhope, we carved one of our many pumpkins.  I will admit, I had told Riley we might just skip the pumpkin carving because I didn't think she would really care but I am glad we ended up doing it.  She was SO excited!  We couldn't find our pumpkin carving knives so we just did the simple jack-o-lantern.  I wish I would have had it on video when we lit him up because we were laughing so hard at her.  Oh the simple things in life! :)

On Monday, Anna Riley had Western Day at school.  The Barnyard came with some of their animals, they did a hayride and had a little pumpkin patch set up for them.  She wasn't in the greatest moods that morning when I tried getting her picture because she wanted to go light up her pumpkin again!

Monday night, I took just Anna Riley to Sorority Row for Trick or Treating.  It was a little more chaotic this year and not to mention cold.  She had fun but we didn't make it to all the houses.

On Tuesday, it was costume day at ballet. So, Anna Riley got to wear her costume to dance.

This is when she was flipping out over
the pumpkin! :)

Magnolia Corn Maze

This past weekend we were down in Fairhope so we decided to go to a nearby Corn maze and pumpkin patch while there.  This was just not a good year to make the trip to one of the big pumpkin patches so this worked out perfect since it was only 15 minutes from the Fairhope house. The weather actually turned out to be really nice on Saturday...it was Sunny and in the mid 70s while we were there so it was very pleasant and "fall-like."

Anna Riley is really at the age that she is having so much fun at all these type of things now.  She liked them last year but this year she could just go and go.  Ava Kate is still too young to get it...she is just along for the ride! ;)

This place has an 8-acre corn maze and this year it was cut in shape of the state of Alabama complete with interstates and cities!   Since Ava Kate is so small and the corn-maze would take a while to go though we decided not to go through it but I thought that was really neat!

You can click on the pictures to make them bigger...I just had too many pictures to put them all individually.

AR had to ride the horse, of course!

She loves animals and was so excited to feed the camel! I
even fed the camel, which was a big deal for me! But, when
your child is saying "you can do it, Mommy!"...well, you
kind of have to!

The Cow Train!  Oh what a fun, bumpy, dirty ride!
Ava Kate even got to get in on the fun with this one!
Hayride fun

Sweet sisters!
The bottom ones...AR was chasing a butterfly.  I just love how
they enjoy the simple things in life!

Pig Race! AR loved watching this!

Halloween Party

The girls and I went to a little Halloween party last Thursday afternoon. Anna Riley's costume had not came in the mail yet but she was excited to be a cowgirl! She had spotted a pink sparkly cowboy hat at Target while we were in there Thursday morning and since she already had the pink boots it was an outfit!   She is so funny at this stage because she is SO into what she wears!

She was on a mission!

Ava Kate was a little cupcake...and a cute one at that! :)

At the party, we decorated pumpkins, played games and we got to eat Chick-fil-A and LOTS of good treats!
Anna Riley even got to load up her treat back and told her to keep filling it up because she needed more! Oh my!

John-Ross (the Host of the party) was the
cutest kiss...I didn't get a picture with his
hat on!

We even met some new friends!

Pop Pop swung by since he was out and about...
he didn't want to miss seeing the girls dressed
up!

Weekend part 2- Ainslee's birthday party

I left Atlanta early Sunday morning so I would get home in time for my neice, Ainslee's birthday party at the Barnyard.  Anna Riley was so excited because she loves going to the Barnyard!  Ainslee's party was a "pinkalious" party because she loves those books and it was really cute.  Anna Riley insited on wearing her pink cowboy hat/shoes to the party but she really fit the theme anyways.  At this age, if I have learned anything it is pick my battles!

Ainslee looked precious! I can't believe she
is already 4!
