Christmas Day

She woke up like she just knew it was Christmas morning except for the fact that she slept until 7:30 and didn't wake up at 5 am like I am sure she will in the future!  When we went in her room to get her she was just laying there staring at the ceiling and we said "Merry Christmas" and she squealed as if she knew what we were talking about! haha  She loved all of her gifts and we enjoyed seeing her light up!  I think you turn into such a kid when you have a child at Christmas!! :)  I wish the snow would have stuck at our house because then our inner child would have really came alive! After we opened presents, it was time to get ready for a Christmas breakfast that Papa Doug was hosting at his house.
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday and we have so much to be thankful for! We are truly blessed!

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve day!  For us, things finally start slowing down by this time and we just get to soak up the last little bit of Christmas and spend time with one another.  We started our day with the three of us going to the Waysider for some yummy pancakes! We spent the rest of the day playing and relaxing until it was time to go to church.  We we to the Christmas Eve candlelight Communion at our church and it was beautiful!  After dinner, it was time to get ready for Santa! :)  I know she is too young to know anything this year but I wanted to start some of our traditions this year. We opened our 2010 ornaments and put them on the tree, attempted to read the Night before Christmas and had planned on reading the real story of Christmas but she was not at all interested and we set out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.  Riley and I have a tradition of always watching Christmas Vacation each year so once Santa gifts were put out, we enjoyed our favorite Christmas movie! I love traditions whether old ones or new!  I was excited to start a few new ones this year with our little family!

Christmas with Granna & PawPaw

Thursday night we headed to Berry to have Christmas with "Granna and PawPaw." Anna Riley wasn't feeling her best that night but it didn't stop her from eating! She ate so much, I think she gave herself a bellyache. She just kept stuffing it in!! I am so thankful for a hearty eater, but sometimes she doesnt know when to stop especially when its Granna's good food! She got lots of good toys at their house. She got a school bus slide that we are putting in her playroom, an American Girl bitty baby, Beauty and the Beast (my present too! :), bath toys, blocks and a stroller for her baby. But I think her favorite gift was from Uncle Wes...a big Minnie Mouse. You should have heard the shrill when she saw it! And then she would just laugh and give her kisses!
