Miscellany Monday

WALKING:
I officially have a walker now!  Anna Riley has been "walking" for a while but just never would turn loose until now.  And boy is she all over the place and in to EVERYTHING!

BIG GIRL:
I really feel like my baby is not really a baby anymore.  There are times I look at her and realize how fast she is growing up and how big she is getting...especially when I see pictures like the one below!

PACY:
We are in the process of taking Anna Riley's pacy away.  For several weeks now we have only given it to her during nap or bedtime.  Yesterday, I took it away from her during her naps and she did great...didn't even cry when going to sleep.  We were going to take it away from bedtime too since she did good earlier but Riley put her down and he forgot and gave it to her so we will try again tonight.  It's going much better than I thought it would though!

CHURCH NURSERY:
I have mentioned before that Anna Riley has not done well in the nursery at church since she changed classes.  Well, we finally made some progress today.  She clung to Riley and wouldn't let go but when we came back to get her she was actually playing and so happy!  Usually she is just sitting in Mrs. Jean's lap the whole time because she is upset.

GREAT BOOK:
Riley and  I just recently read a great book:  Heaven is for Real.  It is wonderful!! I read it in a little over a day!

WEEKEND:
We had a great weekend with nothing planned!  Sometimes those end up being the best!!  We stayed in both nights and just enjoyed playing with our sweet girl and spent Saturday enjoying the weather... going to the park and getting ice cream.  We ran some errands yesterday after church and then our normal pizza night at Papa Dougs.  Below are a few pictures from the weekend...
She is always squatting to check something out!

I think Daddy had a lot of fun at the park too!

Being silly...she makes faces like this all the time! We are constantly laughing at her!

Loving Minnie...who is about as big as her!

We were all snuggled up watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

Anna Riley wants to tell everyone...

SHE'S GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!!

Once again, when I came up with a plan...God showed me his plan was better!!  We are so very excited and can't wait for October!  I am almost 8 weeks so its still early so please say a prayer for us and little Baby Hollyhand #2!!

We actually found out the day before Anna Riley's birthday!  I had noticed that week that I was beyond tired and had a loss of appetite.  I thought that it might just be because I was so busy with the party but I had a feeling it was more than that!  And I was right! :)
I had my first ultrasound last week and everything looks great.  The heartbeat was 136 and it measured about 1 cm.  My due date is October 13th.   I have been feeling about like last time...sick!  I have had lots of headaches and feel nausous all throughout the day. I have my appetite back but I am very picky because most things make me sick to even think about it!  I know its all worth it though.  With AR, I felt sick through the whole pregnancy but it did get better so hopefully it will again!

Fun at the park

We have had the best weather the past week so Thursday we met Peyton, Lily Grace and Cooper to play at the park and go to lunch.  The kids had so much fun playing together! I think AR found her a "boyfriend"...her and Cooper were holding hands at lunch...it was too sweet! I wish I would have gotten a picture.

Swim date

Anna Riley and I had a swim play date last Tuesday.  Tuscaloosa Moms reserved the indoor pool at Bobby Miller Activity center and we decided to go.  Anna Riley loves the water so I knew she would be ready.  She loves putting her face under!  Which is good and bad!!  I am glad she loves it so much but I have to keep my eyes on her for sure because she is fearless!
I didn't take my camera since I was in the pool with her the whole time but I got a few pictures before we left.

Brush your teeth!

Brushing her teeth with her big girl toothbrush

Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a great "day of love."  I personally think Valentines day is silly but we did enjoy a date night on Friday and of course loving on our sweet girl! It is amazing to think she was just a tiny thing last year...just over a week old and to think how much she has grown!!
Anna Riley got a few Vday surprises:  Minnie Mouse pjs, a new book, Mickey Mouse lollipop and a bag of Reece's minis (her favorite)!

This was Valentines day last year! :)

Snow Day

It snowed here a few weeks ago and honestly I was just really over the snow and cold.  Especially after the wonderful weather we had just a couple of weekends prior...I am just ready for Spring! Riley went in to work and so AR and I got all bundled up to go out for a while and she did not like it.  So we came back in and played in the warm house and just enjoyed the white view from the inside!
Ready to go check it out!

This was the only picture I could get because she quickly found out she didn't like the snow

So we came in and played with her new blocks

We did love looking at it!

Anna Riley's birthday week

I am a huge birthday person.  I love celebrating people's birthday and especially my baby girl's first one!!  Usually we end up having more of a birthday week than just a day and it was no different with this one.
We ate lunch a Iguana Grill.
She loves Mexican food like her Mommy...but we found out she also loves the music because she kept dancing! :)

This good Mama also stood in line at Gigi's cupcakes for 30 minutes just so she could have one for her birthday...and so Mama and Daddy could have one too! ;)
But she only liked the chocolate chips...I wasnt really a fan of Gigis either!

She had a special birthday breakfast: Chocolate chip pancake and strawberries

She got to open one of her presents from Mommy and Daddy...
She also got a new carseat cover that is really cute!

Anna Riley's 1st birthday-- Present time

She got tons of presents and I had to do most of the opening.  She is one child that would rather have the present and doesnt care about the paper!  I think it was a little overwhelming at the time but she loves all her new toys!

She got some blocks and you can tell by the look on her face that she LOVED them!
After this was opened, she didn't care about helping open any others.

Our friends Cameron, Courtney and Tucker got her the first bunny when she was just born.
She loves the little bunny and it is now brown instead of white.  So I thought it was SO sweet that they got her a bigger one for her first birthday!

Granna and PawPaw got her a Tot Rod and she loved it!
