25 weeks

Symptoms:
I have had a hard time breathing this week.  It just comes and goes but I have to take really deep breaths and sit straight up to get any relief.

Weight Gain:
around 15 lbs.

Cravings:
Cereal...which is really weird because I don't want it really in the mornings, just mainly in the afternoon or at night!  I have also really enjoyed my multi grain bagel and fresh fruit in the mornings...I usually start thinking about my breakfast before I go to sleep! haha

Sleep:
As long as AR is sleeping good at night, I sleep good.  Her sleeping has not been consistent so that doesn't help.  Plus, I am having to get up a lot during the night to go to the bathroom.

Maternity Clothes:
I finally bought some maternity shorts and they are a lot more comfortable but I still wear the others too.  I am most comfortable in a dress.

Movement:
Lots and lots of movement!!  She has been kicking so hard this week.  I love to sit and watch my stomach just move!

Wednesday

Anna Riley slept so good last night and woke up at 8:00 this morning.  I had gotten up around 7:30 because I had to of course go to the bathroom so I  made the bed, put laundry in and checked my email and facebook until she woke up.
We ate breakfast and she watched Mickey and then went to play while I got ready and started dinner (it was in the crockpot and had to cook for 10 hours).
We have been going to Storytime at the library on Wednesdays and Anna Riley really enjoys it.  It is similar to Kindermusik because they sing, play an instrument, read a book and always ends with bubbles.

When we left, we stopped by the grocery store to get two things that they were out of on Monday that I needed for dinner.
When we got home a friend stopped by for about 30 minutes.  When she left, Anna Riley and I headed to chick-fil-a  for a little lunch date since Riley had another meeting today. My friend Mandy and her 3 girls met us there.  Anna Riley really likes playing in there but we will not be back at lunch time!  Let's just say the teacher in me came out and I let some kids have it!!  There were first of all too many kids in there and only 3 parents AND most of the kids were way too old to be in there anyways and they were running all over all the little kids!  Anna Riley had climbed to the top and 3 older boys climbed up and since she wasn't going fast enough they pushed her out of the way and was climbing over her.  SO  this pregnant Mama had to climb to the top and get my child while their Mamas sat and enjoyed their kid free lunch!!

We got back home right at nap time and she was worn out!! I laid her down at 1:45 and she was asleep in like 5 minutes.  She woke up at 4 and we went outside to eat a snack.  I wanted to play around with my new camera lens so I did that while she ate and played in the yard.

We came back in and read some books and played with her babies until Riley came home.  When he came home we went back outside until time to eat at 6.

I made Sante Fe Chicken and Rice for dinner and it was pretty good.  It would have been better with a little cheese and sour cream on top but it was still good especially to only have 190 calories per serving. I got it from skinnytaste.com also.

After we ate and cleaned up the kitchen we took rode AR in her wagon around the neighborhood. Then it was bath, MMC and bed at 8:30 for Anna Riley.

Tuesday

Anna Riley slept until 8:45 this morning and it was so nice!! I actually felt very rested this morning! We got up and ate breakfast. She usually watches Mickey Mouse during breakfast. While she finished breakfast and then played in her playroom, I put the sheets in the washer and got ready. Since she slept late, I decided to skip her morning nap. We ran to Sam's to get some necessities and then to Old Navy because the 20 for 10 groupon I bought was about to expire this week. We got home right before it started to rain.

When we got home, Anna Riley watched the rain out the window and played while I folded laundry.  Everytime it would thunder she would stop and listen.
Riley had a meeting during lunch so he couldn't come home to eat.  We ate, cleaned up the kitchen and then read books, did puzzles and played in the playroom.  Riley stopped by after his meeting for a few minutes.  Anna Riley rested on her princess couch and we watched Mickey mouse to settle her down for a nap. I wanted to get her to sleep earlier today especially since she didn't take a morning nap.  She went down around 1:45 and was asleep by 2.
I have been in the process of organizing/ cleaning out closets and I had great intentions of tackling one during her nap but the rain kind of made me a little lazy so I saved it for another day.

Anna Riley woke up around 4 and even though it was wet outside, it felt wonderful!  So, we went to check the mail and she ate a popcicle on the front porch.  After cleaning up, we went to the back to swing.  Maggie and Addie Gail (our neighbors) were playing in their yard so we played with them for a little while.

Riley came home and jogged and then he took AR for a ride in her wagon while I went to the gym. They ate leftovers from last night. When I got home I ate (just cereal because I was craving it!)  We played with AR, gave her a bath and watched MMC and then put her to bed at 8:30.
Riley and I started a new devotional, so we did that and I blogged and watched tv while he went to sleep.

Monday

If you read Kelly's Korner, you know she is documenting their week.  I thought it would be neat to do this as well and  look back on it and see how much my days change when the baby arrives in October!  So here was our Monday...not that you will be that interested in what we did with our day!

Anna Riley decided to wake up at 6:00 this morning!!! I brought her to my room and we snuggled and watched Mickey Mouse until close to 7:00. Then we got up and she sat in her favorite chair (the recliner) and drank her milk while I fixed breakfast.

We ate breakfast...multigrain waffle and fruit.
After breakfast, I made the bed, started laundry and began to get ready while Anna Riley played in her playroom.  She had gotten out all the blocks so she had a mess as usual!  She was trying to sit backwards in her car and got stuck!

We both got ready and headed to Kindermusik for our class at 9:30.  Because Anna Riley woke up so early, she fell asleep on the way there!  So she had a 5 minute power nap before class.

She did great in Kindermusik!!  I was afraid she would be ill but she always has so much fun in class!!
However, when we left class she wasn't so happy! She pitched a fit all the way home.

We got home around 10:30 and she was too upset to settle down and take a nap which she was in much need of.  Finally around 11, she went to sleep. While she napped, I planned what I would make this week and made a grocery list.
She had to have her picture album with her during her nap... (It's a small, plastic picture album that has pictures of when she was born and she looks at it every night before bed).  I went to wake her up around 12:30 so she could eat lunch and this is what I found...

Riley comes home for lunch on most days so he was here to eat with us.  After lunch and cleaning the kitchen up, we went to the grocery store.  She was pretty good at the store but she has definitely been better! We had a lot to get today so it seemed like it took forever!
When we got back, I put the groceries up and she "helped" me and then played with her books and puzzles for a little while before she had to lay down for her afternoon nap.
She went down for her nap around 2:45 and while she slept, I blogged, unloaded the dishwasher, got ready for the gym and started cooking dinner. Anna Riley woke up around 5:00 and we went outside to check the mail, water the flowers and her favorite...sit on the steps and watch the cars go by! haha

We just put a flag up and she was so excited about it!

Riley came home and I left for the gym to go to Zumba class. They ate dinner around 6.  I made Balsamic Chicken with roasted vegetables.  I got the recipe from skinnytaste.com...which has lots of good and healthy meals.  It was a hit and Riley said AR ate a whole chicken thigh, vegetables and a whole sweet potato!

I got home from the gym and I ate, we played with AR for a while, bathed her and let her watch an episode of Mickey Mouse while she drank her milk and then we put her to bed at 8:30.
I layed in bed and watched some of the Bachelorette that was DVRd  while Riley read!
AND....that was our Monday! :)

Miscellany Monday

WEEKEND:
We had a very low key weekend which was nice.  We ate Mexican, watched movies, went to a baby shower and had lunch in Berry.

CAMERA LENS:
After we ate Friday night, we stopped by Best Buy and I got a zoom lens for my camera.  I am so excited!! Now that AR is on the go and is constantly running everywhere, it is hard to get close enough to get a good picture.  I can't wait to really try it out!

BABY SHOWER:
Saturday, Anna Riley and I headed to Bessemer for my friend, Kim's baby shower.  Kim and Eli are expecting their first child in August!  I am so excited for them!! Kim, Eli and myself were great friends in college!!  Candace (another college friend) hosted the shower at her house and she did a wonderful job!  Anna Riley had fun at her first baby shower...this Mama was a little worn out though after chasing her, cleaning up spilt drinks (sorry again Candace!) and trying to make sure she was careful with the little babies which she is obsessed with!

KINDERMUSIK:
We went to our last Kindermusik class for the summer this morning.  Anna Riley has really enjoyed her class!  She loves the teacher, Mrs. Erin!  The past two classes she told the kids to find their bouncing partner (which is supposed to be me) and AR ran over to be Mrs. Erin's partner...I think she is already trying to be a teacher's pet!!  I am trying to decide whether to do one in the fall in the evenings so Riley can watch Ava Kathryn while we go or just sit out a semester.

This picture was from last week.

SLEEP:
We are still having a few issues with Anna Riley sleeping.  She is "too busy" to sleep these days!  She pitches a fit every time she has to stop playing to take her nap.  I can tell she is extremely tired but she just doesn't want to stop.  At night, she doesn't go down so easy anymore and she often wakes up in the middle of the night crying.  And she is waking up a lot earlier than normal!  Its a little frustrating for this tired, pregnant Mama!

Pigtails and sleeping issues

Last Thursday, Anna Riley woke up screaming at 4 am (yes screaming, not crying).  Riley was getting ready for work so we both ran in there.  She was so upset and wouldn't calm down.  I brought her to our room to try to calm her down and she was so upset.  Finally after some Mickey Mouse she calmed down a little.

For the whole weekend, she seemed almost scared to get in her bed.  She has always loved her bed and really never cried much when we put her down for naps or at night.  One day she got so upset, she threw up everywhere.  I tried rocking her to sleep which has never really worked with AR (she won't actually go to sleep until you lay her down unless she is just exhausted).  I let her just sleep with us one night.  She finally got back to normal around Sunday.

She had been without a pacy for a whole week and she would do fine during naps and bedtime so I don't think it was that.  We thought she might have had a bad dream that scared her on Thursday.  I also thought she might be getting more teeth but she was fine until we got anywhere close to her bed so I don't think it was just that.  Very strange, but knock on wood, we are back to normal!!

Father's Day weekend

Friday, we spent a lot of time outside since the rain cooled things off a little and it was bearable. She loves being outside but its too hot to stay out usually.

Anna Riley would not take an afternoon nap (she went through a phase last week of not wanting in her bed...more on that later) but I did make her at least come in and "rest".

Riley took her for a wagon ride so I could finish dinner and she fell asleep sitting up in the wagon!

It was just enough of a power nap to keep her going!  Since it was so nice, we decided to eat outside and then AR played some more.  I wish it always felt that great outside during the summer!!

Saturday was pretty busy.  We went to eat breakfast at FIG that morning and then when AR laid down for a nap I went to get a pedicure and pick up my Dad's father's day/birthday gifts.  We had our nephew, Brilyn's, birthday party from 1-3 and then my parents were coming to keep AR so we could go to Riley's cousin's wedding at 4.  Mom and Dad took AR out to eat (they were brave)!  So, after the wedding Riley and I met up with the Stricklands for dinner at DePalmas.
The birthday party was at the Playhouse Christian Academy (its a preschool but they rent out their facility for parties).  They have a few jumpy houses, ball pits and the playground like McDonalds and places like that.  Anna Riley had so much fun and was non-stop going from one thing to the next.  I decided that her birthday party would be there next year!

Sunday, was of course Father's Day. I made a breakfast pizza and Cinnamon rolls for breakfast and Anna Riley gave Daddy her two cards.  One was a handmade card with her hand print and her "drawing" and the other was a Minnie Mouse card that she held onto throughout the store.  After church, Anna Riley and I took a nap until lunch (we go to early service so we are out by 10) while Riley enjoyed a nice long run.  Then, it was off to the pool.   That evening, we had dinner at Papa Doug's.

Usually, I would not post a picture of me pregnant in a swimsuit, but I thought this was so sweet. Recently, she wants to lay her head on my belly and I think it is just precious.

We had a wonderful weekend, celebrating the special men in our life!  I am very thankful for having such a great Dad and Father-in-law and an especially wonderful husband and father to our children!
