Continued...

I promise I am almost done with Beach pictures.  I post them for me to look back on one day! :)
WEDNESDAY:
Wednsday was Riley's first day in his conference.  So, the girls and I headed down to the beach by ourselves.  The beach with little ones is hard especially when you are doing it alone but it really wasn't too bad!  Riley ended up getting out of his session before lunch early so he got to come by and play for a little while before going back!  That night he had to eat with some others from the conference so the girls and I picked up some Gumbo and a fish sandwhich from a place across the street. 


I didn't realy take any pictures on Wednesday since I had them by myself.

 



THURSDAY:
Riley had a long day in meetings on Thursday and we knew he wouldn't be coming back until later that afternoon. I took the girls to the pool that day. Anna Riley got in the kiddie pool and played with some other kids and actually liked it a lot better this time. We played for a while and then we walked down to the other pool and had lunch at the tiki bar. Their food was actually really good!

Thursday night, we went to Baytowne Wharf to eat and let AR play.  I am usually not a big fan of the food in the wharf but we actually had a great meal.  We ate outside at  Marlin Grill and it was very good!  Anna Riley loved playing on the playground this year and just like always, she loved the carousel.  We also got some ice cream or actually it was gelato before heading home.  Ava Kate got her first taste of ice cream and loved it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beach Part 2

MONDAY:
We spent the day at the pool.  The girls were on the cranky side so we took early naps and came back down for more pool time later and just cooked at the condo that night so we didn't have to rush to get ready.  We did a shrimp boil and it was really good! 
We found out that AR really likes the beach better this year rather than the pool.  She is currently scared of everything so she was hesitant about the water this year.  She did get in but really wanted to just run around and play.  We didn't keep AK in the pool much on this day because the water was still a little chilly and she had a cold but she did get in later in the week. :)

TUESDAY:

Tuesday was a great day!!!  We went to breakfast at the Donut Hole that morning.  We spent the day at the beach and both girls really had a great time!  Ava Kate as able to last a little longer that day so we were able to stay a little longer.  Anna Riley LOVED running up and down the beach with Riley!  She wasn't interested in building sandcastles much.  She did meet some sweet little girls and they dug in the sand and filled buckets.  :) 
We went to eat at Harbor Docks that night and then went to the Track.  Anna Riley was SO excited to ride the gocarts!  She cried when we had to leave.  Ava Kate got to ride the carousel.  She was a trooper and stayed up and hour past her bedtime so her Big Sis could have some fun!

Beach Babies

We are in Destin this week for a conference Riley has to attend.  The conference started today and last until Friday but we headed down on Saturday so he could have some time to play on the beach with the girls. The girls are napping, so I thought I would post about our first day.
 Anna Riley did a wonderful job traveling on the trip down...Ava Kate on the other hand did ok but she does not like to sleep in the car.   We got down in time to grab some groceries and Ava Kate was beyond ready for bed since she didn't take a nap so we called it a night.
  We went to breakfast the next morning at Another Broken Egg in Baytowne.  Riley took AR to the beach while Ava Kate took a little nap and then we headed down.  Both girls really liked it.  We took Ava Kate a small pool and she played with her toys in that.  Anna Riley liked playing by the water with her Daddy.   We stayed down for a while and then it was back to the condo for naps before dinner!  We went to eat at Louis Louis.  The same people own it as the Red Bar...it was very good!!  After dinner, we played on the playground for a while before getting Ava Kate in the bed.

It has been interesting to see how much Anna Riley changes each summer.  She is very particular this year about things.  She didn't want to wear her two-pieces..she wore one the second day and wanted it off and now only wants one-pieces (and we have some really cute 2pieces too!)  She also knows when she is using the bathroom with the swim diaper on and hates it!  She ask for a wipe so she could wipe herself off!  I am hoping this is just an indication that we are getting closer to potty training.  She hates being dirty, but loves the beach this year and hasn't really cared for the pool.  (more about that on the next post)
